Janean Kong - Founder & CEO

Janean began with a Bachelor's Degree from California State University at Dominguez Hills in Philosophy and Linguistics. In 2005 she earned a Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting (GCPA) through the Shidler College of Business at University of Hawaii at Manoa. Since obtaining her Enrolled Agent License from the Internal Revenue Service in 2008, Janean has been advocating for taxpayers in tax audits and collections. In 2012 she received one of Hawaii's first designation as a Certified Tax Coach providing proactive tax planning and in 2017 was awarded Certified Tax Strategist and Certified Tax Master. Janean continues to further her tax expertise and education by preparing for the United States Tax Court non-attorney bar exam.

Janean offers 13 years of accounting and tax preparation experience working with small business owners. Recognized for her own entrepreneurial spirit Janean has become a respected resource for addressing the growing complexity of tax laws that businesses face today. Janean strives to innovate and re-invent the role of the tax practitioner by emphasizing year-round tax planning. She provides free seminars at various venues throughout the island and encourages open forum discussions.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Janean is a proud mom of three boys and enjoys paddling canoe and meeting new people. She credits the success and growth of the business to her dedicated staff, loyal clients, and word-of-mouth referrals.
